Give a little time. Make a lasting difference in a child's life.
Volunteering at Ray of Hope means spending time with some of the most vulnerable little ones in our community. There are several ways to get involved, whether you have a few hours a week or a specific skill to offer.
Hold, play with and care for our babies under the guidance of our caregivers. This is the most direct and meaningful form of volunteering.
Help us organise and run fundraising events, drives and community outreach activities throughout the year.
If you have a skill — photography, admin support, handyman work, or any other expertise — we'd love to hear from you.
To protect the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care, we ask that all volunteers meet the following requirements.
All volunteers must provide a valid police clearance certificate before working with children.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Young people under 18 may volunteer if accompanied by an adult, or with special permission from Ray of Hope leadership.
All volunteers are required to complete our application form before starting.
Depending on what you're volunteering for (e.g. helping with meals or bath time) you may need to spend some time following our caregivers to see how things run. Playtime volunteering is much less structured.
There are no minimum requirements - spend as much time with us as you can manage.
Fill in the volunteer application form below. Tell us a bit about yourself and what you'd like to do.
Nadia will contact you to discuss your application and answer any questions you may have.
Provide your police clearance certificate and any other required documents.
We'll discuss schedules, routines, house rules and anything else you need to know.
